Volunteer Resources Team Member

VOLUNTEER RESOURCES TEAM (Logistics)

Activities could include:

• Coordinating volunteer recruitment campaign with Public Information team
• Tracking volunteer hours
• Receiving volunteer applications
• Ensuring necessary paperwork is received and documented
• Maintaining volunteer files
• Connecting new volunteers with other teams within the organization
• Drafting job descriptions
• Planning and holding volunteer appreciation events
• Attending meetings of Volunteer Resources Team

Time Commitment: 5 hours a week

Open to volunteers in Yellowknife and surrounding area.  Work from home, with the option to attend meetings in person in Yellowknife on occasion. Must be member of YKSAR, at least 19 years old, and pass criminal records (including vulnerable sector) check.  No experience necessary.  Training is available.  Need own computer and phone.  Should be comfortable working with people over the phone and as part of a team.   Proficient with office software (documents, spreadsheets, etc).
